TACOMA, WA — Time is running out! The Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) at Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber offers local students, grades six through 12, an opportunity to develop their own business concept with mentor support, gain investor funding, launch their company, and compete for scholarship dollars to further their education.
If you know a student that is a great candidate for this program, encourage them to apply immediately, before it’s too late! The DEADLINE is November 2, 2016; the online application is available here: bit.ly/training-mentorship.
Last year’s graduate, Maxx Stewart, took the national title of AMERICA’S NEXT TOP YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR, WINNING A $30,000 COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP. He earned the opportunity to pitch his business, Spyder Grypz, to a national audience in Washington, DC. He competed against 6 other entrepreneurial startups and presented to a panel of national business leaders serving as judges. Check out his website by visiting www.spydergrypz.com.
Another YEA! success story is 15-year-old Rachel Zietz from Boca Raton. Rachel pitched to the Sharks in May and at the time had sales of $300,000 and now have sales approaching the $3M mark!
Help ensure that local youth have an opportunity to realize their dreams – entering the Academy as students – graduating as CEOs. Share this opportunity and consider being an investor to support the next generation of young entrepreneurs.
