Sealed Proposals will be received by the undersigned at the City of DuPont, Attn: City Clerk’s Office, 1700 Civic Drive, DuPont, Washington 98327, up to 2:00 p.m.; local time on Wednesday, August 3, 2016, for furnishing the necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, and guarantees thereof to construct the Historic Village Water Main Replacement.
The work specified in this Section consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for construction of the Historic Village Water Main Replacement Project, as shown on the Plans, and hereinafter specified, along Barksdale Avenue from Haskell Street to Hopewell Street and along Penniman Street from Barksdale to Louviers Street. Work shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
Furnish and install approximately 1,600 LF of 8-inch ductile iron water main, required valves, connection to existing water mains, hydrants, water services and appurtenances. Construct required asphalt and concrete panel patching. Provide all associated work as shown on the Plans and specified herein, for a complete and workable system.
The Work shall be substantially complete within 50 working days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. All bidding and construction is to be performed in compliance with the Contract Provisions and Contract Plans for this project and any addenda issued thereto that are on file at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, DuPont, Washington.
The Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud shortly after the time and date stated above. Proposals are to be submitted only on the form provided with the Contract Provisions. All Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check, money order, or bid bond payable to the “City of DuPont” and in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount bid.

Financing of the Project has been provided by City of DuPont, Washington. The City of DuPont expressly reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive minor irregularities or informalities and to Award the Project to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder as it best serves the interests of the City.Print This Post
