If you comply with that old saying, “Stop and smell the flowers,” you stand a good chance of discovering that our rhododendrons are beautiful, not only in my yard but all over town. They are unusually beautiful. I have never seen them this lovely.
Check out the multi-colored blossoms. My closet Master Gardner tells me the color difference is based on the various levels of maturity for each blossom. The blossoms are so prolific, they have managed to block my view of most of the green part of the plant you would normally see.
When you are driving around town or better yet walking around your own yard, look for extra beauty.

We Washingtonians may complain about all the rain, but look at the benefits! The Rhodies–and other blooms seem to be extra spectacular this year.

These are truly breathtaking!!! Yes, anyone who complains about all the rain we get need to go to the desert, where they have no rhodys OR ANYTHING ELSE!! That’s what LACK of rain will give you!!!
Thank you for sharing these gorgeous picture. I am still trying to get used to all the fantastic nature beauty this area has to offer. Instead of taking it for granted, we all need to become more thankful for it every day.
