Washington Contemporary Ballet will begin the Director’s Intensive for one week starting August 15 th to further students’ dance abilities and teach them to create their own performances. Classes will be offered in for ballet students level 2 and up. They are held Monday – Friday, August 15 – 19 2016, from 9:30 am – 5:00 pm. The cost is $175 for the week. “Each day, the dancers will participate in a ballet class, a daily seminar on various topics (i.e. dance history, nutrition, anatomy), and a choreography class. Our Enhancement Class instructors will also join us throughout the week so that the students receive a well-rounded dance experience. Each day will conclude with a master class taught by some of the most talented dancers and instructors in the area. On the last day, families and friends will be invited to a showcase of everything the dancers have worked on during the week,” Director Nathan Cook said.
