Dorothy Wilhelm will demonstrate her slightly off the wall cooking technique at the Washington State Fair on Opening Day this year. That’s Friday, Sept 11 from 3:30 to 5:30 in the Home Arts Department. She will demonstrate how to prepare her famous Turtle Brownies, always in demand for special occasions. She’ll also be teaching someone, maybe a couple of someones, how to cook.
She’s already lined up Larry Francis, a Tai Chi classmate and an avowed non cooker, and she’s even borrowed an apron for him. He remains curiously silent about the whole thing.
In addition to the cooking lessons and the brownies, she’ll also show how to prepare easy, no cooking Halloween treats. Ideal for Grandparents and Grandkids to do together.
Dorothy will also be assisted bravely by Roxy Nichols. No turtles will be injured in the preparation of the Turtle Brownies.
