Your Kiwanis Club of Clover Park wants to thank those thrifty Lakewood shoppers who helped make our 2nd Annual Parking Lot Sale such a huge success. This year we move a lot of furniture, tools, garden items, kids items and kitchenware, as we raised money to help those less fortunate than ourselves. Over $1800 was raised and will in turn be donated to other Lakewood community service groups such as Caring for Kids, LASA, Emergency Food Network and Lakewood Boys & Girls Club.
Our plans are already in motion for July 2016 and you can help with your discards and household items you no longer use. You may call Mike Darrah at 253-307-2962 and we will arrange to pick up those usable items that you no longer want. Check your attic, basement or garage and let us help you clean house.
And this year, a special thanks goes to Lakewood Countertops, who not only volunteered two individuals, but supplied the truck to help move all the merchandise from storage to the sale site. Again, thank you Michael Burgess, Sales and General Manager and daughter Creed for your help. You’re the best.
And while we are in a thankful mood, thanks to Bob Jones, Manager of Gramor Development whose parking lot we used for the event and to Diane Formoso, Director, Caring for Kids for the use of all your tables and storage facility. Without all this wonderful community support we would not be able to perform this fundraising events.
Thanks again, to all the volunteers and club members for all your help and remember, It’s All About the KIDS!
