This terse message, accompanied by blinking red – alternated with green – lights flashing on the screens mounted floor to ceiling in the command center, were followed with the equally blunt and bold banner blasting repeatedly:
‘DISPLAY DISRUPTED! DISPLAY DISRUPTED! DISPLAY DISRUPTED!’
State-of-the-art multiple tracking systems that had been installed and updated over the years with the latest in technology – dubbed “GPS Jesus” – instantaneously and automatically began alerts indicating that an unidentified object had indeed exited the last known location and in nanoseconds – with speeds unheard of and far exceeding those previously selected – centered their concentric targets on the global map.
