Fireworks for July 4th have always been a tradition, one that began with the signing of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence. Throughout the years the celebration has continued but laws regarding the use of fireworks have changed. In Washington State the laws are specific for many reasons. One of the reason is the noise that fireworks cause.
According to the websites, www.mrsc.org/
Some of those who have pets who are sensitive to the sound can relate to what I am referring to. One of my pets is very sensitive to the point of having to make special provisions for her for fear of the damage fireworks and the noise can cause her.I don’t mind making those provisions because my pets are my “children” but it is the principle behind the use of fireworks. My point is the use of common sense. Please for those who are intent on lighting that match, please consider others before you begin lighting fireworks.
Do not think about yourself, but others around you. Sometimes this is difficult but Washington State, as well as other states, have rules and laws for the use use of fireworks,.Use common sense.
Alan Hart says
It is unfortunate that the folks who use the fireworks sometimes claiming it is their “right” do not understand that every “right” carries with it a “responsibility”. Thoughtfulness, civic responsibility and “common sense” are sadly quite rare.
