Lakewood’s own Sterling Norris is a genius with the chalk. On Thursday, she’ll bring her talents to the sidewalks of the Lakewood Police Department.
Police Chief Bret Farrar has invited Sterling and six of her friends to decorate the sidewalk around the Lakewood Police Department, 9401 Lakewood Dr. SW, starting at noon, Thursday, June 19. The day will include a pizza party, as well as a tour of the station.
“We are really excited to have a young talent like Sterling coming to the station,” Lakewood Police Chief Bret Farrar said of the Custer Elementary third-grader. “We’re happy to showcase the talents of Lakewood youth, and we are glad we found a way to do so with Sterling.”
Farrar added: “This is also a great chance to continue strengthening the City’s connection with our youth. It’s not only just us adults. We need their help to make Lakewood a safer, better place to live too.”
