LASA to take over Carr’s Restaurant Tuesday

May 18, 2014 By The Suburban Times

By Mary Hurton

This Tuesday, dropping in at Carr’s Restaurant will not only mean a great meal but also a show of support for LASA’s work in the community. LASA will take over Carr’s on Bridgeport on Tuesday, May 20th, between 4pm and 9pm. Patrons who come in for dinner will be greeted and hosted by LASA staff, and a portion of the night’s proceeds will be given back to the organization. Raffle tickets will also be available for purchase.

LASA is a community supported agency committed to the prevention of homelessness and recurrent homelessness. The agency has provided housing services and homelessness prevention assistance in the community for 25 years. LASA will soon break ground in Lakewood for a new Client Services Center and adjoining fifteen units of permanent, supportive housing. For more information, visit www.lasawa.org or call 253-581-8689.

Carr’s hosts a different Lakewood nonprofit on the third Tuesday of every month. If you can’t make it this Tuesday to support LASA, be sure and come out come another day and support the other agencies who are doing such worthwhile work in Lakewood.  Other Carr’s nights include Fish Food Bank, Caring for Kids, Clover Park Kiwanis, and Lakewood Lions.
