The chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court, who was fired because he refused to remove a monument of the Ten Commandments from the state judicial office in 2003, is going to speak at 7 p.m. at the Oakbrook Country and Golf Club on Friday, May 2.
Judge Roy Moore invites you to attend his talk about how and why he stood up against a federal judge’s order, how he lost his job because of his actions, and how he subsequently was re-elected to the court. The cost for the salmon and chicken dinner and talk is $40. Call Trish Otterholt at 564-7150 for reservations.
