Bode the Goldendoodle, star of the new children’s book, Use Your Noodle, Doodle!, will visit the Morgan Family YMCA on Saturday, April 26, at 1 p.m. as part of the YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day. The Morgan Family YMCA is located at 1002 S. Pearl Street in Tacoma. This event is free and open to the public.
Bode’s owner and the book’s author, University Place resident Sheri Page, will be there to give a book reading and to answer questions. The book is based on a true story about a Tacoma-area grandmother (Sheri’s mother) who showed up with a plate of cookies one day, and ended up leaving in an ambulance, when Bode the Goldendoodle puppy greeted her too enthusiastically and accidentally knocked her down. The book is a beautifully illustrated story about Bode and his antics, Sheri’s mother, and her season of recovery after her fall. Bode the Goldendoodle is today a therapy dog at grandmother’s Tacoma retirement center. Books will be available for purchase and signing, or they can be ordered at this website: www.UseYourNoodleDoodle.com.
