LAKEWOOD – Plant Yourself in Lakewold’s Library. What gardener doesn’t wish for a private library in which to spend time reading, researching and exploring the world of horticulture? At Lakewold Gardens, we have the next best thing. As part of Lakewold’s 25th Anniversary celebration, the Library is now open to visitors, offering over 1,000 volumes on everything from alliums to zinnias, Rhododendrons and roses, best choices for NW gardens, maintenance and landscape design, gardens of the world, and everything in between.
Hours are currently 11:00am to 2:00pm, Thursday, Friday and Saturdays. The Library itself is a beautiful, serene room noted for its architectural detail and wall of windows looking out to a charming Courtyard. With the gardens coming into full bloom, a trip to Lakewold will leave visitors enchanted and inspired, with an opportunity to have all those pesky garden questions answered!
Lakewold Gardens is located at 12317 Gravelly Lake Drive SW, in Lakewood, Washington. Open to the public, admission is $9.00 (general), $6.00 (seniors, students, military), with children under 12 and members of Lakewold free.Print This Post
