City of Lakewood’s Elly Chambers will discuss “What’s ahead for Economic Development” at the Thursday, April 17 Lakewood United meeting.
The Lakewood United group meets at 7 AM every Thursday at Burs Restaurant, which is located at 6151 Steilacoom Boulevard SW in Lakewood. The next two programs after this week are:
- April 24, 2014-Rep. Tami Green: the recent past and future (Kris – MC)
- May 1, 2014- Lakewold Gardens at 25 – Stephanie Walsh (Teresa – MC) (a bonus ticket drawing – yes)
Last week’s program with the six Lakewood Youth Council representatives was great in showcasing some outstanding Lakewood high school students that have a real positive interest in their community. In addition Jim Endicott gave a moving history associated with the Relay for Life and our community’s involvement in helping cancer survivors.
