Bates Technical College highlights programs, campus at Open House

TACOMA – Are you curious about Bates Technical College’s programs? You’re invited to the college’s annual Open House on Thursday, April 17, 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m., at South Campus, 2201 S. 78th St., in Tacoma.

The Open House features an information fair with representatives from student services, financial aid, Technical High School and Running Start, the testing center, and ESL and Adult Basic Education faculty.

During the event, attendees can participate in interactive activities with several career education programs, like Fire Service, Mechanical Engineering, and Biotechnology Lab Technician. Those who wish to transfer into four-year institutions will also have an opportunity to speak with representatives from The Evergreen State College, Western Governor’s University, City University, and more.

The college’s Culinary Arts program will sell hot dogs, chips and pop at a reasonable price during lunch time.
