On Tuesday, April 15th at 7 pm at St Mary’s Episcopal Church, 10630 Gravelly Lake Dr SW, the Lakewood Historical Society will present a program on the “History of the Lakewood Water District”.
Since 1943 the Lakewood Water District “has provided its customers with water service that meets or exceeds all water quality standards and maintained policies and practices that benefit the health and welfare of the community.”
Randy Black, the General Manager of the District since 1994, will give a overview of the advancements made in the last 70 years and will share the 50 Year Plan for the replacement and rehabilitation of over 181 miles of infrastructure.
The program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
