Wondering where to go in Lakewood to practice all levels of Yoga; from gentle to power strength, from non-heated to warm to hot? Introducing Lakewood Holistic Yoga & Wellness (formerly Studio Hot Yoga & Wellness) at 7504 86th Ave SW, off Steilacoom & Phillips Rd, 253-582-2244.
We are Lakewood’s premier Yoga Studio where we provide a holistic approach to wellness and fitness.
There are many physical benefits to regular Yoga practice such as weight loss, flexibility and strength gains, breathing techniques to reduce stress, stress-relieving postures, and principles of peace and kindness. Yoga truly connects one with body, mind, spirit, and soul to allow one to “Discover Wellness Within”.
Breath work and meditation are instrumental elements of any evolving yoga practice. Pranayama – yoga’s deep-breathing and breath-control techniques – deliver more oxygen to the brain, allowing one to focus on thought patterns in a more meaningful way. Breath control permits a peacefulness and calmness with one that in turn allow one to obtain a state of absolute presence in the moment.
The controlled pace and low impact of yoga postures also can help banish the stresses and mental clutter that harbors in the mind throughout the day. It requires good focus of the mind and to be present in the moment in order to properly maintain these yoga postures, some of which are very challenging.
A Kind Mind
One can take the inner calm achieved on the mat and apply it to daily life by bringing a peaceful clarity and confidence to one’s thoughts and actions. Yoga can teach many spiritual values such as kindness, compassion, tolerance, acceptance and love.
We believe the world would be a different place if everyone on the plant embraced an active yoga practice lifestyle. Such a lifestyle would require a continuous yoga practice of at least 3 times week. This lifestyle would deepen one to uncover the true essence of one’s soul. Yoga has been practiced for over 5000 years. Needless to say, it has proven its value and worth.
We invite you to try a yoga practice. We are open 7 days week. Visit our website to view our class schedule and to learn more about our holistic wellness and fitness services.Print This Post
