Volunteers At Work!
Eight members of the Puget Sound Model Boat Club spent four hours on Saturday, February 22, 2014, working on a paver project at Waughop Lake in Fort Steilacoom Park. This boating group has led the effort to make improvements at this park site previously, and for this current project, members used 28 60# bags of concrete mix, rebar and eight (8) yards of gravel to create seven (7) pavers.
The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department is pleased to recognize their contribution to the FSP Waughop Lake entry area. The Department also works with other organizations throughout the year to complete park improvement projects. The volunteer support has great value and makes a significant difference in the appearance of our park facilities.
