PUYALLUP – The 4th Wall Players will be “Singing the Diaphragm Blues” March 13-15 at 8 pm. The show is a compelling comedy-drama about chickens, diaphragms, and female sexuality. Based on the book Writing the Diaphragm Blues and Other Sexual Cacophonies, “Singing the Diaphragm Blues” offers a critical and humorous investigation of female sexuality, from childhood to menopause.
The show is written and performed by Rebecca Lea McCarthy. Rebecca is a writer and performer. She graduated from Cornish College of the Arts, and holds a PhD in Comparative Studies. “Singing the Diaphragm Blues” is based off her second book: Writing the Diaphragm Blues and Other Sexual Cacophonies.
The show is directed by Dale Westgaard. Dale has an MFA in directing from Roosevelt University in Chicago. A member of actor’s Equity, he has at Roosevelt University, University of San Francisco, Backer University and, most recently Lakewood Playhouse.
