Ballet Bees – Mommy & Me

January 30, 2014 By The Suburban Times

Tacoma, WA – Classes for Ballet Bees – Mommy & Me are now open. The 30-minute classes are held on Tuesday at 3:30PM and on Thursday at 10:00AM. The price is $10 per class or $50 for a 10-class punch card.

This January, Tacoma City Ballet has introduced a new program of creative movement and music enrichment for children ages 2-4 and their parents. Ballet Bees offers activities that enhance development of the young child’s intellectual and physical abilities. In class, the child learns basic creative dance movements related to songs and stories, as well as the use of simple musical instruments and props. Ballet Bees will kindle the child’s intellect, instill self-confidence, awaken the imagination, nurture creative self-expression, yield significant progress in the attainment of physical coordination and promote an accomplished joyful sense of self, all while having fun with Mommy and Daddy. Parents and children are encouraged to wear clothing that allows for free movement.
