The American Red Cross saves lives. When disaster strikes, the Red Cross responds with food, shelter and hope. When barriers of distance, language, or warfare separate loved ones, they open lines of communication. This relief organization operates by mobilizing individuals who volunteer their time and skills. Diane Bomer, Community Preparedness Outreach Coordinator from the local Mount Rainier Chapter will give a presentation titled “How the American Red Cross Responds to a Disaster,” on Thursday, January 30th 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
