UNIVERSITY PLACE – The newly formed University Place Voter Resource launched with a simply goal… informing voters.
“We are dedicated to ‘informed voters’ hoping to make a contribution to our community via informed voting,” said founder Betsy Tainer. “We will be publishing research, articles, data, to our readers regarding all issues University Place.”
The initial project of the U.P. Voter Resource is analyzing the upcoming University Place School District levies.
“Voters vote their hearts and need to take other things, their wallet, neighbor’s wallet, district, fire district and more, into consideration,” continued Tainer. “We’ve found that levies and ballot proposals are submitted with limited point of view/perspective and few facts.”
U.P. Voter Resource seeks to correct this and bring local budgets more in-line with needs and wallets. “We are NOT a NO campaign. We encourage people to vote their beliefs… but we want to help them be informed voters vs heartfelt, rumor voters.”
