Sixteen hard-working volunteers came out on this spectacularly nice Sunday afternoon to clear vegetation and other debris from the Backbone Trail–a non-motorized pathway connecting Chambers Bay Drive through the Madrona Park area of Steilacoom to Puget Drive.
The lower portion is challenging to keep free of weeds due to fast-growing ivy and blackberry vines in the vicinity. We had a particularly strong showing from nearby residents. It is always amazing to see how quickly volunteers working together can have a very positive impact.
