Every year the Lakewood First Lions Club gives each third grade student in the Clover Park School District their very own dictionary. For many students it’s the first book they have ever owned. Besides writing their name on the first page, they must raise their hands and take a pledge to respect and care for their dictionary and not let it fall in a mud puddle, let their dog chew on it, drop it in the toilet……you get the picture. A fun time for all.
