An anonymous donor has given more than $20,000 worth of new clothing to needy students in Clover Park School District. This is the 26th year the donor has given the clothing to students. Clothing includes new jackets, shirts, pants, underwear, socks, shoes, hats and gloves in preschool to adult sizes. Student volunteers and staff sorted, folded and labeled the clothing.
“This donation really helps our students, some of whom would not have an opportunity to have new, warm, nice clothing,” said Holly Shaffer, director of student services. “It’s great to see our community members really support our students. It brings the whole school community together.”
On Tuesday, Dec. 17, school counselors and other staff members will select and pick up the clothing for distribution to needy students in their schools.
