UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. – The Brain Energy Support Team (BEST), a nonprofit organization who provides innovative leadership, support, advocacy, educational and socialization opportunities for individuals with traumatic brain injury (TBI) and their families, is pleased to announce the opening of the BEST Learning Center in January 2014. Along with the new center, the organization is offering a robust series of classes on site that cover the follow topics:
- Action planning for the future.
- Life after brain injury.
- Brain injury and work accommodations.
- Brain injury and substance abuse.
- Listening and communication skills.
According to Executive Director, Gloria Kraegel, “Education is a big part of what we do at BEST. Whether offering workshops for professionals so they can better engage with individuals with brain injury or working with individuals directly to identify their interests and build on their strengths, our focus is sharing our knowledge and experience. We’re also partnering with business trainers and consultants to offer a broad range of learning experiences.
