U.P. Christmas Tree Lighting is this Saturday, Dec. 7

Come and enjoy the City of University Place Christmas Tree Lighting celebration taking place on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Market Square, 3609 Bridgeport Way West. With fun for the whole family, you’ll want to join in the tradition.

Santa Paws pet photos kick off the day in the Civic Building Atrium from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by “Duck the Halls” from 1 to 3 p.m. in Market Square. Local school caroling takes place from 3 to 5:30 p.m. and the event culminates with the lighting of the Christmas Tree in Market Square at 6 p.m.

The event also features fireside photos with Santa, who’s arriving by fire truck promptly at 2 p.m., carriage rides, a silent auction, free cider and cookies, a local business fair, games and crafts for the kids, a bounce house, and gingerbread houses in the U.P. Library.
