Messiah Sing-A-Long will pass The Baton at Christ Lutheran, Dec. 1

November 28, 2013 By The Suburban Times

Christ Lutheran Church will present the 20th Messiah Sing-A-Long on Sunday, December 1 (2 pm).  The conductor’s baton has been passed.  For 19 Messiah Sing-A-Longs Tom Goleeke, Ph.D. conducted Handel’s timeless music. For this 20th performance his baton is passed to John Falskow, Ph.D., musical director at Tacoma Community College.

Christ Lutheran’s gift to our community is a wonderful way to begin the Christmas season. Professional soloists and instrumentalists will be joined by an audience of singers. Singers and listeners of all ages are invited.   A $10 donation is suggested for the free will offering.  No tickets are necessary.  The cookie intermission is legendary.

Bringing non perishable canned goods to be distributed to area food banks continues a tradition begun in Handel’s time.

Bring your own score or check one out before the performance.  Christ Lutheran Church is located at 8211 112th St. SW, Lakewood, WA 98498.
