The November Student of the Month from the Clover Park School District was announced Friday, November 15, at the Rotary Club of Lakewood. Rotarian Robert Peterson introduced Quenessa Long, from Lakes High School. Quenessa is the Senior Class Vice President, is a two sport athlete (soccer, basketball), is involved in the mentoring program, all while taking a rigorous class load including pre-calculus, AP literature, and chemistry. Her GPA of 3.56 is even more impressive given the adversity she faced early in her life.
Accompanying her at the Rotary meeting was her principal, Karen Mauer-Smith, who wrote that Quenessa “continually contributes to making Lakes a great place to be and a supportive home to many other students.”
Along with the Club’s congratulations, Quenessa was presented with a plaque commemorating the award.
