Duck the Halls Caroling Contest Registration Open

November 14, 2013 By Debbie Klosowski

By Debbie Klosowski

It’s time to get registered for the Duck the Halls Caroling Contest. Get into the holiday mood by forming a caroling team (or solo) with your friends, neighbors, co-workers, book clubs or family.

The 3rd annual Duck the Halls Caroling Contest, held on Saturday, Dec. 7,  is also a  fun way to help out the UP Food Bank.

Anyone can enter.  Just form a team and prepare at least two holiday/seasonal songs (8 minutes max).  Holiday attire and/or costumes are encouraged.  Enry fees are 5 nonperishable food items per person or $10 per person.   Limited musical accompaniment allowed (no boom boxes, electrical instruments or CDs….easily transported instruments ie acoustical guitars, horns, etc are allowed).

Prizes will be awarded!

Duck the Halls is held in conjuction with the UP Tree Lighting event in front of the UP Civic/Library Building, from 1 pm to 3pm. For contest rules and registration, please visit www.upforarts.com.
