Two New County Foreclosure Sales on Bid4Assets.com

November 13, 2013 By The Suburban Times

Bid4Assets is proud to announce two new counties on board with the company to hold their Foreclosure Sales online for the first time. Bid4Assets is a company specializing in online real estate auctions. The Pierce County, WA Foreclosure Sale will be held December 2, 2013 through December 3, 2013. Details can be seen here. The Kitsap County, WA Foreclosure Sale will be held on December 10, 2013 through December 11, 2013. Information on the sale can be seen here. Neither sale requires a bid deposit. [Find detailed and useful information at the Pierce County website.]

In an online auction of a tax-defaulted property, the minimum bid is set at the amount of taxes, penalties, and other costs owed to the County, and the winner of the auction is determined solely on the basis of the highest bid received for the property. Tax-defaulted property in the state of Washington is real property with taxes that are three (3) or more years delinquent. To redeem the property after foreclosure proceedings begin, all years’ taxes, interest, penalties, and foreclosure costs must be paid. Bid4Assets has successfully sold hundreds of thousands of tax-defaulted properties for more than 50 counties in California, Nevada, Michigan, Idaho and Washington. By using the Internet, counties are able to reduce administrative costs, reach more buyers and sell a greater number of properties at each sale. The taxpayers are the direct beneficiaries of the efforts of the officials in those counties.

Pierce County is offering 278 properties for auction. Bidding will be as low as $1,352. The Kitsap County Foreclosure Sale bids start as low as $712 for the 102 properties being offered for tax-foreclosed auction. This is the first time that either county will hold their yearly Foreclosure Sale online. By bringing the Foreclosure Sales online the county exposes the auction to a worldwide audience and puts more properties back on the tax rolls.

Pierce County and Kitsap County are just two of the dozens of counties across the country that uses Bid4Assets for their annual Foreclosure Sales. Other counties in Washington State include Benton, Thurston, Cowlitz and Spokane.
