LAKEWOOD, Wash. – Thursday, November 14, the South Sound Military & Communities Partnership will hold its 2013 Annual Member Forum: “Innovation, Collaboration, and Realization.” Check-in for the event begins at 8:15 a.m., at the Marriott Courtyard Tacoma Downtown.
Col. Charles Hodges Jr., Commander at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, will give the forum’s keynote speech titled, “State of the Base.”
The forum will then offer two panel presentations featuring local, state and federal leaders: “How Collaboration Is Addressing Regional Transportation Challenges” and “Help For A Transitioning Military.”
More than 150 people from Pierce, Thurston, Kitsap and King Counties have RSVP’d for this event. Attendees will include elected officials and legislative assistants, local government leaders and staff, business leaders, community organizations and others with a vested interest in the future of the JBLM corridor.
