When: Friday, Nov. 8 at 9 a.m.
Why: The $6,500 will be used to fund science education at Hillside Elementary School. A separate check was given to Carter Lake Elementary School during the school’s grand opening celebration on Oct. 16.
The three companies were involved with the construction of the new Carter Lake and Hillside Elementary Schools, which were completed in September. BCRA was the architect and Skanska and OAC were involved with the project management and construction. Carter Lake and Hillside were the first schools in the country to be built under the Military Child Initiative.
U.S. Rep. Denny Heck will also speak during the Veteran’s Day assembly.
