Speakers with over 60 years of combined service, in three different service branches, combat experience, and years of serving God, country and family, will be a part of the Salute to Veterans the weekend of November 9-10 at Lake City Community Church.
The line-up begins Saturday morning at 9am with an All Church Breakfast in the gymnasium. The featured speakers are Larry and Bobbie Simpson of Officer Christian Fellowship (OCF). Larry served 27 years in the Air Force before retiring in 2003. He and Bobbie have three children and two grandchildren. They are gifted and sought after conference speakers specializing in growing healthy families given the unique challenges faced by military personnel.

Then on Saturday evening at 6pm we will hear from Maj. Kevin Bouren. Maj. Bouren is a West Point graduate and currently the Secretary of the General Staff (SGS) for the seven brigades and 21,000 Soldiers that comprise the 7th Infantry “Bayonet” Division at JBLM, Washington. He and his wife Adra have two children with another expected in March of 2014.
Maj Kevin and Adra Bouren (left) – Rounding out the Salute to Veterans will be Chaplain (Col.) Bart Physioc, U.S. Army. Col. Physioc has been an Army chaplain since 1989. In addition to his Master’s of Divinity degree and his Doctor of Ministry degree, Col. Physioc has been the Battalion Chaplain with the 82nd Airborne Division, he has been a Brigade Chaplain as well as installation chaplain. Currently he is the Brigade Chaplain at JBLM. He and his wife Dawn have two kids and three grandchildren. Chaplain (Col.) Physioc will be our featured speaker Sunday morning at both the 9am as well as the 10:50am worship services.
It will be a wonderful weekend of honoring our veterans. Join us for any or all of our weekend events as we “Salute Our Veterans”.
