Franciscan Opens Dialysis Center in South Tacoma

Franciscan Health System opens its newest dialysis center in South Tacoma on October 30, 2013.  The Franciscan Dialysis Center – South Tacoma is located at 5825 Tacoma Mall Blvd. and is convenient to public transportation with ample parking available as well.

At nearly 13,000 square feet, the new center is the largest outpatient dialysis center in the Franciscan Health System. The center will have 32 dialysis stations and two home dialysis stations designed to prepared patients for dialysis care in their homes. Other amenities include: heated and massage dialysis treatment chairs; flat screen plasma TV’s at each patient station; nurse call devices at each station and a fully integrated security system with 24/7 monitoring.

“This new center will bring state-of-art equipment, home treatment options, plentiful parking and very skilled and caring staff to dialysis patients in the South Tacoma Community,” said Marla Fredericks, Regional Director of Nephrology for Franciscan Health System.

The new Franciscan Dialysis Center – South Tacoma is part of Franciscan Nephrology Services which provides more than 65,000 treatments to patients annually and joins outpatient centers in Gig Harbor, Puyallup, East Tacoma and one at St. Joseph Medical Center.  The new center in South Tacoma will be open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.  For more information or to schedule an appointment call (253) 671-3140.
