LASA seeks help with Thanksgiving meals for families

October 24, 2013 By The Suburban Times

By Mary Hurton

LASA is currently seeking donations of gift cards to help our families have a holiday meal this Thanksgiving.  While many of the families in our housing programs have the basics, they often have a difficult time coming up with the special things that make a meal complete, such as a turkey or pie.  A $25 gift card from your favorite grocery store can go a long way to ensuring these families have a special holiday.

This year, LASA is dedicating much of our energy toward our move; as a result we have fallen behind in collecting help for holiday meals.  If you are interested in helping us ensure each of our families has a Thanksgiving dinner, please consider contributing a $25 gift card.  For more information, call Mary at LASA at 253-581-8689 or email Mary@lasawa.org.

LASA is a community-supported agency committed to preventing homelessness and recurrent homelessness.  Our housing programs serve Pierce County families who have been experiencing homelessness and have children under eighteen.
