15th Annual Beautiful Tables Showcase at Lakewold Gardens, Oct. 24-27

October 22, 2013 By The Suburban Times

BTS_2013

Creation of an inviting table is as important to a successful dinner party as is the preparation of spectacular food. Beautiful Tables Showcase at Lakewold Gardens is the event that will tickle your decorating fancy, inspire you to try daring table design, and make you run to those closets to rediscover stored family china and other treasures!

During Lakewold’s annual four-day event you will enjoy table settings in which professional and novice designers combine color, texture, shape, and scent using tablecloths, unusual/unique floral arrangements, fine china and pottery to complement a variety of celebrations. New to the showcase this year will be a historic look back at 15 years of tables. As we honor all of the volunteer decorators, you will enjoy seeing the changes that have taken place during the many years of this ‘must attend’ event.

In addition to the Showcase, we will introduce glass art and jewelry creations by Carolyn Osborne of Creative Forces. Available for sale in Lakewold’s Garden Shop her glass and jewelry art make beautiful gifts for that someone special. Memberships to the gardens will be available for half price during the showcase and include 10% off of (most) purchases in Lakewold’s Garden Shop.

For a very special viewing, Tables at Twilight will be held on Friday, October 25th from 5pm – 8pm. With dusk in the background, the showcase is aglow with candles, wine, and music. Pre-paid reservations of $20 per person are required and can be made by phoning Irene at 253-584-4106, extension 109. Limited tickets are available for this special viewing.

Sponsored by Dwyer, Pemberton & Coulson, Carman Manufacturing, David Vail & Associates, and The News Tribune we hope you will join us October 24th through October 27th, from 10am to 4pm. Entrance to Beautiful Tables Showcase runs $7 – $12 per person and is available at the door. No reservation required and admission fee includes entrance to the garden which will be in its full fall glory.
