TACOMA – Tacoma City Ballet invites the public to visit our gorgeous Jan Collum Ballroom Studio, located on the first floor of the Merlino Art Center, for a Rehearsal of The Nutcracker and The Tale of The Hard Nut, and a Lecture Presentation about the history of The Nutcracker and the creation of the World Premiere The Tale of The Hard Nut on Saturday, November 2nd at 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Accompanied by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s original score, Tacoma City Ballet’s The Nutcracker and The Tale of The Hard Nut is set apart as the sole production in the area to follow the story, scenic design, costuming and choreography, as originally created by the great choreographers Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov in 1892.
Under the Artistic Direction of Erin M. Ceragioli, accompanied by the Northwest Sinfonietta and the Stadium High School Women’s Concert Choir, this World Premiere of The Nutcracker and The Tale of The Hard Nut will transport you to a land filled with music, magic, and wonder.
