5th graders receive copies of U.S. Constitution, Declaration of Independence

October 9, 2013 By The Suburban Times

By Marjory Swalley, Lakewood Republican Women

The Lakewood Republican Women,  who are members of the National Federation of Republican Women, distributed 700 individual copies of the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence to fifth graders at Fort Lewis, McChord AFB, and some Clover Park schools late last month.

These materials consist of pocket-sized booklets containing the founding documents and accompanying sets of 24 factual Q&A flashcards and an instructional booklet for the teacher.  Each child was also given an American flag pin.
