PeoplesProclamation

The first Proclamation was in recognition for the month of September as Fall Prevention Awareness Month and further recognizing September 22, 2013 as Fall Prevention Awareness Day in the City of Tacoma.

The second Proclamation declares September 8-14 as National Assisted Living Week.  Mayor Strickland urges all citizens to visit friends and loved ones who reside at assisted living communities and also to learn more about assisted living services and how they benefit our mature aged generation and their loved ones..

Ms. Meier acknowledges it is an honor to receive these Proclamations.  She says “Every day we give our residents choice, dignity, independence and autonomy at Peoples Retirement Community .  It’s just wonderful to have the recognition  they deserve.”
