Bertha (Berti) Jean Schooner Maack was born May 24, 1938, and left us to be our guardian angel, surrounded by family, on September 10, 2013. She leaves to cherish her memories 9 sons, 2 daughters, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.She was loved beyond words and will be so greatly missed.
Visitation will be held at Mountain View Sunday, September 15 from 10am to 6pm.

Edward L. Swensrud born on May 26, 1937 in Buckley Washington passed away on August 26, 2013. Robert Kurt Adams passed away on September 6th, 2013. His death was sudden and unexpected. Robert was born in Munich Germany on July 28, 1967 and has lived in Washington State since 1976. He leaves behind his loving wife of over 20 years, Tricia, and 2 amazing daughters, Michaela and Alyssa, his parents, Robert and Irene, mother-in-law, Pat, grandmother, aunts, uncles and cousins, too many to list. After a short career in finance, he decided that teaching is his calling. In his 15 years of teaching, he has touched the hearts of countless students and families by teaching more than just the curriculum. His kind-hearted and fun loving way of teaching made him stand out to his past students, giving him the title of the most influential teacher.

James Anderson Reid. On Saturday August 31, 2013, James Anderson Reid slipped away quietly in his sleep at the age of 84. He was born November 16, 1928 in Nashville, TN; was the second son of the late Reverend Thelman S. Reid Sr. and Ida E. Reid of Nashville, and member of the Mt Gilead Missionary Baptist Church.
James is survived by his son DesMond J. and his wife Diana J. Reid of Lakewood, Washington; a daughter Angela Reid of Nashville, TN; sister Eunice L. Callian of Germantown, TN; brother Robert E. and wife Mary B. Reid of Silver Springs, MD; sister-in law Marjory R. Reid of Nashville, TN; and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
James graduated from Pearl High School in 1946 later entered the U. S. Air Force in 1951, served for four years with a tour of duty during the Korean Conflict as a crew member on RB-26’s, after active duty served another four years in the Air Force Reserves. After military service James returned to Nashville to attend college graduating with a BA and MA Degrees from Fisk University (Class of ’65). James worked as a professor of Sociology at Tuskegee Institute in Tuskegee, AB and then at Florida International University, Miami, FL.
The wake and service for James will be held at the Mt Gilead Missionary Baptist Church, Nashville, TN on Friday, September 20, 2013. Viewing of the remains will be from 11:00 A.M. to Noon with services starting at Noon. The internment will take place at the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery located near Pegram, Tennessee just east of Nashville.
