Kids at Hope: Inspiring and Empowering a Hope Square Community

September 12, 2013 By The Suburban Times

Kids at Hope University and the Lakewood Branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound invite you to attend and provide input at the “Inspiring & Empowering A Hope Square Community” seminar.

This empowerment seminar and discussion is an exciting experience exploring the research on hope, optimism and success and how it can be instilled in all educators and youth development professionals and delivered to the children we work with, no exceptions.

We will examine a cultural strategic framework and how an entire campus/organization/community can support the success of every person. Practical application of evidence based protocols in support of a youth’s success will also be discussed and operationalized. We hope to answer the simple question “Why do some youth succeed and others fail?”

Welcoming remarks from Larry Saunders, Chairperson, Boys & Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound and former Police Chief, City of Lakewood

Tuesday, October 8, 5:30 to 8:00 PM

Gary & Carol Milgard Family Hope Center

10402 Kline Street SW, Lakewood, WA  98499

Funding provided by the Gary E. Milgard Family Foundation. More information can be had on thisflyer.
