If you live alone and can’t be bothered to cook, you’ll love Dorothy Wilhelm’s Washington State Fair demonstration in the Home Arts Pavillion on September 9 at 1 pm.
“80 Years of Cooking With Bisquick” celebrates the fact that the familiar box found in just about every cupboard is just about as great for cooking for the one or two person household as it was for making “Impossible Pies” and pancakes during the house full of kids era.
Bisquick came on the market in 1931 but reached its full popularity in the 50’s and 60’s. Dorothy will be demonstrating “mini” cooking, for folks who just don’t need that big old casserole any more.
There will be demonstrations of: Mini Elephant Ears (fair food) Mini Pizzas (delicious food), Mini scrambled Eggs and Bacon Muffins (Brunch food) and Cherry tarts. (Dessert food.) Recipes will be available for all dishes, of course. All ready in minutes and easy to freeze for delicious future meals.
Wilhelm will be judging the Favorite Family Bisquick Recipes contest at the Fair on September 19.

Only one day Dorothy? Can’t go until later but would love to see the demo. Can you post it online after the fair?
