The final Steilacoom Final Farmers’ Market of 2013 is set for Wednesday, August 28 (3-7 pm) on the corner of Lafayette and Wilkes Streets. This week, attendees will find: fresh produce, berries, fruits and vegetables… the freshest of finds from our final market. Isn’t that why we freeze, jam, dry and bake, anyway? Show your love to your favorite vendors and do some early Holiday or birthday gift shopping. Want to know who our vendors are? Please visit www.steilacoomfarmersmarket.
At our Community Corner, the Steilacoom Pierce County Public Library will share the many services such as free access to ancestry.com available with your library membership. Who knew? We also welcome to celebrate us out, musician, Les Thorn from 5-7. The concert at the Bandstand in Pioneer Park saves the best showman for last, Danny Vernon and The Illusion of Elvis, which begins at 6:30pm. In case of rain, as always, “the show must go on” and moves inside the Community Center at the corner of Lexington and Main Sts past the Fire Station to the left. Final SHOUT OUT to all our patrons who, truly, we wouldn’t be here without you! Thank You! Keep in touch. See you next year!
“There’s nothing stronger than the heart of a volunteer.” Col. James Doolittle. Heart is the true spirit of Steilacoom Farmers’ Market. We acknowledge each volunteer by first name. You know who you are so if we have inadvertently missed you, please chime in:
A Special Gratitude SHOUT OUT to Oberlin Congregational Church. Thank you for providing our vendors their very own parking lot and parking placards. You have also been a generous sponsor for our Kids Booth! Thank you for your leadership!
As we end the 2013 Market season, we must express what we are most grateful for and that is our volunteers. The volunteers faithfully come out each week with very little prompting, but to help Steilacoom Farmers’ Market put our best foot forward.
From helping our vendors and their vehicles get situated to the putting up and taking down of our booths; from setting out and bringing in the signage to directing traffic and collecting for the Food Bank. Special thanks to our webmaster. For all the incidentals unseen; we couldn’t be the Market we are without you! Our many, many thanks!
