Steilacoom: Fresh Finds At The Market

July 2, 2013 By The Suburban Times

Savory sheep cheeses, fresh produce, fresh meats; One of a kind hand-made jewelry, blown glass, leather-bond journals, and so much more!  Featured at our Community Corner is Soundsations Childrens’ Performing Group starting at 4pm. Lance Israel, flautist, from 5:15 – 6:30. Enjoy the Smooth Jazz sounds of Darren Motamedy at the Bandstand in Pioneer Park at 6:30 as you take a mid-week break and prepare for the 4th!

SHOUT-OUT! … To Topside Restaurant (the Market’s neighbor) whose chef is seen weekly discriminately choosing ingredients for Wednesday Nights’ Dinner Specials. He starts off with the Farmers’ Fresh Cocktail and has created the strawberry/basil mojito (sounds yummy!) and a raspberry, cilantro martini. Ayala Farms supplies produce for his Daily Veggies dish such as fresh asparagus, basil, and cilantro. The Market’s Table has featured House Smoke Flatiron Steak with Baby Artichokes and Tri-Tip paired with Red Potatoes provided byColvin Ranch and Zestful Gardens (certified Organic farmer). You are invited to see what new drinks and dishes Topside Restaurant creates each week and get inspired to create your own!
