Miss University Place and Gabe

June 25, 2013 By The Suburban Times

2013 Health Fair University Place Care Center

By Debe Christnacht

Ashley Noelle Jackson, aka Miss University Place USA 2013, recently paid a visit to the University Place Care Center who was hosting a Health Fair.  During her visit, Ashley couldn’t resist a cuddle from Peoples Retirement Community’s resident dog, Gabe.  The duo quickly became friends and posed for pictures.  Ashley is home for the summer break from Catawba College in Salisbury, N.C. where she is studying Theatre Arts.  Although Ashley’s passion is advocating for arts in schools for youth,  she is taking her role as Miss University Place seriously and representing the City proudly, as evidenced by her attendance at the Health Fair.  Ashley is currently seeking sponsors.  She can be reached at anoellejax@gmail.com or (253)906-3855.

I was unaware we even had a Miss University Place. I am anxious to meet her.

Ashley also came along to the Spaghetti Dinner at the University Place Senior Center last Thursday. She volunteered and greeted people at the door. Ashley is a delight. I had the pleasure of her company at both the dinner and the health fair. Oh, and I met Gabe yesterday at People’s Retirement Community’s open house yesterday (sweet dog!).
