Lakewood City Council meeting agendas, June 24

The Lakewood City Council will meet on Monday, June 24, 2013 (7:00 P.M.) in the City of Lakewood’s City Council Chambers (6000 Main Street SW, Lakewood, WA  98499). Following is the Study Session Agenda, followed by the Special Meeting (which will following the Study Session) Agenda:

Call to Order

Items for Discussion:

(1) 1. Joint meeting with the Human Services Funding Advisory Board.

2. Sound Transit Update and Lakewood Layover Project. – Ms. Melissa Saxe, Project Manager and Ms. Chelsea Levy, Government and Community Relations Officer

Briefing by the City Manager

(2) Review of the South Sound 911 Memorandum of Agreement. – (Memorandum)

Items Tentatively Scheduled for the July 1, 2013 Regular City Council Meeting:

    1. Recognition of the top honorary Clover Park School District graduating students. – Ms. Keyre Figueroa, Clover Park High School; Ms. Elizabeth Badger, Lakes High School and Mr. James-Victor Alvarez, Harrison Preparatory School
    2. Recognition of Commencement Bay Rowing Club’s national honors at the U.S. Rowing Junior Nationals competition. – Commencement Bay Rowing Club
    3. 5 Star Property Management Business Showcase. – Ms. Delores Cante, Owner and Designated Broker; Wesley and Julianna Tucker, Property Managers; Ms. Carrie Sandoval, Administrative Assistant; and Ms. Nora Olivares, Tenant Services Manager.
    4. This is the date set for a public hearing by the City Council on the 2014-2019 Six Year Transportation Improvement Program.
    5. Appointing an individual to serve on the Lakewood’s Promise Advisory Board through May 21, 2014. – (Motion – Regular Agenda)
    6. Authorizing an amendment to the interlocal agreement with the City of Wapato relative to jail services. – (Resolution – Regular Agenda)
