Deployed parents, families to enjoy commencement webcast

June 16, 2013 By Ben Sclair

The Clover Park School District will be offering live webcasting of the district’s two high school commencement ceremonies for military parents, family members, neighbors and friends who are deployed and unable to attend the event in person on Monday June 17, 2013.

Lakewood Chamber Member, Expert Video Services, has contracted with the Clover Park School District to provide live video recording and webcasting of the district’s two high schools; Clover Park and Lakes, on Monday 6/17/13 from the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, WA. Expert Video Services will be providing their high definition camera system and web streaming equipment for these events, as well as recording the events for DVD sales to graduates and family member that want a permanent record of the live, once-in-a-lifetime event – which is the video production company’s specialty.

With over 30% of the district’s students living on military bases, JBLM is an important part of the community and the Clover Park School District felt it important to offer this service to the students, families, neighbors and friends of the local military that are such an important part of the region and who may be deployed and unable to attend this important milestone in a student’s life.

Expert Video Services is a local, full-service video production company that supplies professional, creative and technical solutions to the South Puget Sound region, including: recording equipment, live webcasting, creative planning, video duplication and copies and editing for both the commercial and private sectors. Owner Craig Kelly has been providing global, national and local video production services since 1977 for Fortune 500 companies, broadcast network television and some of the biggest entertainment and concert events in the country – from the Olympics to the Swiss Alps, Kelly has been involved in over 4,000 video and television broadcasts, as well as countless broadcasts, webcasts, commercials and video production for the local business community. “As a locally born and raised resident of Pierce County, as well as a parent myself”, Kelly said recently, “I definitely know how important this occasion and JBLM are to the area and we are proud to be able to offer this service to the Clover Park School District and for the deployed members of our community. It makes sense to use our 35 years of experience in live production to give our neighbors the same level of service that our corporate customers demand.
