FISH Food Banks of Pierce County is thrilled to announce the 6th annual FISH Food Benefit Concert, presented by Maurice The Fish Records, on Sunday, June 2nd.
12 bands will perform the all ages, family friendly show at Louie G’s, located at 5219 Pacific Highway South in Fife. The special featured guest will be Lynn Sorenson of Spike & the Impalers and formerly of Bad Company. Musical artists span all genres, from rock and blues to Americana and hip hop, including one of the Top 50 Guitarists in the U.S. Appearing on the main stage: Audentia, Champagne Sunday, Nolan Garrett, Rikk Beatty Band, Tin Man, Kim Archer and Rafael Tranquilino, Mr. Von, and Late September Dogs. The acoustic stage will feature Lynn Sorenson, Heidi Vladyka, Dave Hannon, and James Coates.
A silent auction, raffle and games will also be available. Valuable silent auction items were generously donated by Bad Company, Heart, the Seattle Seahawks and more, and include thousands of dollars in music equipment, guest host spots on local radio shows, house concerts by talented musicians from around the country, consultations by two Grammy award winning artists, and many more. Concert admission is a $10 suggested donation.
Maurice The Fish Records is an independent record label that provides artists with a platform in which they can maintain creative control of their music and vision while attaining greater visibility in a highly competitive market. All concert proceeds benefit FISH Food Banks, which serve individuals and families in need with compassion, dignity and respect at 7 food bank locations, as well as a Mobile Food Bank that visits five locations each week. In 2012, FISH Food Banks served more than 556,000 individuals, or more than 140,000 families. For every $1 donated, FISH can distribute $7 worth of food. Every dollar makes a difference.
