LAKEWOOD – Lakes High School has hosted an annual celebration of the arts known as Artasia for more than 40 years. This year’s event is Wednesday, May 22 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in the high school’s Pathways Building, 10320 Farwest Drive in Lakewood.
Seniors will have individual displays featuring photography, sculptures, ceramics, glass and other art forms. Lakes musicians, singers and actors will perform and students from the Literary Arts Club will give original readings.
“Artasia is truly a celebration of an entire year’s worth of student work,” said Scott Waeschle, a Lakes High School art teacher. “We encourage our community to come and celebrate the great artists we have at Lakes.”
